We love this chair. We just set it up for our 6 month old and have been using it for about a month now. I disagree with the other reviewer who gave it 2 stars. We haven't had any trouble getting our little one in the chair and she's a squirmy one! I don't even bother with arranging the straps until she's actually sitting down and then I reach under for them and clip them together. It's not much effort and worth the time it takes. I'd rather have this beautiful chair and have to spend 2 seconds longer doing the straps than look at one of those gaudy plastic chairs. Also, I love the fact that this chair will grow with our children. Each child can have their own and take it with them. I bet it will even last long enough for our kids to use with their own children! Yes, it's more expensive than the regular plastic chairs out there, but if you can swing it (buy less clothes or go out to dinner a few less times), it's completely worth it.

I was surprised at the reviews saying this was hard to assemble - we didn't have that experience at all. We really debated spending the money, but decided that since we lived in a manhattan apartment, we had all the plastic baby junk we could handle already. The svan is beautiful, fits in well with our furniture, and has comfortably fit our son (we got it when he was 4 months and now he is a stocky 10 months). He loves sitting there and surveying the room. The plastic tray is easy to put on and take off and fits in the dishwasher. The footrest can easily be raised or lowered. We plan to use it as his chair at the dining table when he gets a little older. We are so happy we went with this beautiful high chair instead of more plastic.

We've had this high chair for about a week now and we love it. Most importantly, our 6 month old son loves it. We had used other, less "design-y" models at Grandma's house, all of which were perfectly functional, but this one really stands out for its child-friendly design. You can adjust the seat for a smaller child so he won't "swim" in the seat or need to be propped up by towels, etc. This is important as our son isn't totally able to sit unassisted just yet. As for the reviewer who thought it was difficult to put together and near impossible for one person to put a child in, neither my husband nor I understand it. Perhaps later models have gotten easier? The chair was as easy to assemble as anything from IKEA and didn't require any tools other than a Phillips head screwdriver. It took less than 15 minutes to assemble and put our son in it for a test drive. The plastic tray cover is a nice addition that makes clean-up a breeze. So, we love it. And, did I mention that the design is great? The chair's footprint is small, which makes it relatively unobtrusive. It fits with our mid-century modern dining table. While it is a bit costly, so far it's worth it. I anticipate using it for future children (not convinced we'll use it as a chair later) and, perhaps one day, for grandchildren. It's just perfect for our family.
