I just ordered this potty for my almost 1 year old will be 1 in early October, and I want him to be prepared to go potty, and for it to be a very positive experience for him. This potty looked very cute, and a "toy" kind of style so it would be fun to go potty. I hope that this purchase turns out to be a great one. update(august 5 almost 6) just came in 3 days! It arrived this afternoon and im so excited. i've decided that im going to give it to him on his birthday on October 3. It looks pretty durable and i still have the great feelings I had before. i might take a better look or maybee even open it just to see, and close it back up, but i still hope its great.

I bought the fun to learn potty because it was one of two options at that particular store and it was cute. I have used it through the entire potty training process and now that my son is finally using the actual toilet I walked it outside and threw it in the trash-despite the fact that I have a younger son who is still in diapers. Reasons why I hate this potty: It's loud, It plays music for no good reason, the back "tank" part comes off way to easily, the green pee catcher comes off way to easily and more than once has ended up in the bowl of pee, it's heavy, when you try to take the bowl out the seat and lid part are off balance and heavy and have closed on my hand holding a bowl of pee more times than I can count, which was messy and hurt. It has many many nooks and cranny's that are hard to get into and clean well. The best use of this potty is as a stool to get up into the sink. That it did well. I try to take care of our kid things so I can reuse them for or next son and stretch our dollar, but I absolutely could not fathom dealing with this clunky poorly designed potty a second time around. Buy something that is a simple plastic bowl that is easy to clean! I will be the next time.

This is a great product and would definitley recommend it to parents. The only negative is that the sensor is a little too sensitive. It congratulates the child for "going on the potty" when they actually haven't. However, that is nothing to refuse a purchase for. It's adorable and a fun way to patty train! Also, Amazon.com was the only company that had this chair for the lowest price and shipping!

we have this in my car for our long commute. it's great. my daughter loves using it. it could use some rubber on the bottom to keep from sliding during turns, but other than that it's great.

Both my sons, 1 and 6 yrs old enjoyed playing with this potty! I'm really glad my 1 yr old was interesting in how the side drawers would open and close. We took off the orange piece because it seemed to be a distraction and in the way, and you can't shut the lid with it on. I really like using it as a stool during bathtime. Although the hole in the seat seems small there is a lot of space around it to accommodate a larger rear end. And the best part is that it's portable, since we move quite a bit. This should fit easily in the back of my van! Excellent buy! I would purchase it again.

I really like the dual purpose design of this potty bench. I have a very petite 2 1/2 year old daughter who is also very independent. She is just starting to potty train, but does not like to sit on an adult toilet with an insert. When we got this seat, I did find it was bigger than I expected, and if I had a larger child, or a boy, it would have been more difficult to accomodate them with such a small toilet opening. As is, my daughter loves it. She likes the fact that she doesn't need any adult assistance, and she has her own toilet paper roll just for her. I like the fact that it can fold down and is not an obvious potty, as well as the stool feature, which we use a lot. Also, I love having storage for baby wipes (in case of accidents) and even a place to put a book. Overall, this works wonderfully for my child, but with older or bigger children, you might want to actually try it with your child to see if they will fit.

My son loves this potty seat. He even dumps his pee in the toilet himself and then flushes. No more diapers at home at 18 month. Can't thank the manufacturer enough.

This potty chair is very nice, no cracks or crevices that need to be cleaned.

I bought this potty as a travel potty for my 3.5 yr old. He fits on it perfect and it fits in the back nice. I had a fisher price potty in the back of my SUV before, but the "pee pee guard" kept falling in and the toilet seat lid kept falling down as he went to sit down ... so I really like that this is all one peice. However, we've had one accident with it, my boy forgot to "point it down" and it surged upward and out :o( gotta watch that!

This is the second potty I purchased for my son. He has difficulty peeing entirely inside the removable bowl. Very often urine ends up on the floor or even under the removable bowl. I like the overall design, however, it is not well suited for a little boy and could be a little more stable. I would say if you are buying a potty for a petite girl this would do other than that I would not purchase this again.

My 18 month old son liked this potty the only problem is it tips over very easy. When he sits on it sometimes it tips over forwards or backwards. We also purchased the Urinal to he loves standing to pee verses sitting.

i bought the Dora potty ring at Target for my son. I don't like because it does slide around on the toliet--but so far it doesn't bother my son. The only thing I like about it it the ring seprates for the base so it's easy to clean. I won't buy another one.

I didn't start potty training my daughter until 3 years old, now she's almost six and she still uses this potty seat. I love it because the cushion is very comfortable and the materials are sturdy, not to mention the beautiful Dora design. My daughter loves it too.

We have an elongated toilet and I don't know of anyway to hold this seat in place. My daughter has trouble sitting back far enough because when she tries to scoot back, the whole seat goes with her. So when she pees, it gets in between the potty ring and the toilet seat and makes a big mess.

I started potty training my 2 year old daughter and picked out this potty for two reasons: One, it has Dora on it and she LOVES anything Dora so I thought it would get her excited about using it. Two, the simplicity of the design. Its simple to put together, no lid, and when their done doing their business, you simply pull out the cup dump it in the toilette and then rins out with some water. The only negitive about this toilette is that because the base of the potty becomes a step stool once your child moves on to the big potty, the potty part just sits on top of the upside down stool. It does not snap or lock into place. But that really hasnt proved to be much of a problem. Bottom line, my daughter loves this potty and thats what matters.
