I searched forever for a good seat for our daughter. I came to this one through reveiews, and I am so glad I got it. It is so easy to put in and switch from our two cars and it fits in my husbands Civic, which I was very glad it did. It is so soft and our daughter loves it. She know can see out the window at what's going on around her. And unlike her baby car seat this one does not move when it is strapped in, which makes me feel SO safe. I don't know how I lived without it. And knowing how well it did with front and side impact ratings is a MAJOR plus. Very glad we have it.

I love this car seat! We have had it for over 3 years now. I have traveled with it everywhere incl. airplanes. It latches in so tight with all of our vehicles there is no way for it to move. My child has never been able to get himself out of the seat. It's hard to do and I have told him to never take his seat belt off unless an adult gives him permission. I'm due in November and plan on buying another one for our little girl.

While this seat is wonderful for older babies and toddlers it is not right for an infant. I bought this with the intention of only using one seat from birth until she needed a booster. I was furious and disappointed when I went to leave the hospital and my dd, 7lbs6oz 20in, was way too small for this seat. The straps were a good 2in above her shoulders and rubber on the straps was longer than her body. It was impossible for me to fit my child in this seat and even if I could it would have been incredibly unsafe. I feel deceived by Britax. I am now out the extra money I never intended to spend on a bucket seat. I also am very concerned about the infants that are improperly buckled and lives are in danger because of the misrepresentation of this seat from Britax.

This is by far the best car seat we have owned. It is very secure, and our son rides comfortably in it. It reclines enough so that when he falls asleep, his head and neck have support and don't fall forward. He sits up high and enjoys being able to see where we are going now that he is forward facing. I wish we had been smart enough to buy this car seat first instead of buying the "cutsie" rear-facing one only. Well worth the extra dollars spent. Our son's safety has no price tag.

The Britax Marathon is a great car seat. The whole Britax line is great. Once you go Britax you can never go back! Worth the money!

This is a great carseat. My infant carseat was a Graco and this one feels five times more sturdy. It doesn't really take up more room than my rear facing one did because the back is against the seat. I think it's worth the money.

I would highly recommend this seat for newborns/infants and toddlers who are slimmer/lankier than most other kids. My first child had the Eddie Bauer seats, and I was always bothered that when he slept, after facing the seat forward, his head would always droop forward. So, with my second I was determined to get this nicer seat. I was so glad I did up until now (28 months). My daughter starts screaming and struggling to get out after about 10 minutes. She's a normal sized baby - not overweight or underweight - but now that she's getting bigger, the straps seem to bother her to no end. They seem to be too tight at her neck. Also, the seat doesn't sit fully upright. It has 2 settings and neither one sits her in a normal upright position, which I think also bothers her. Perhaps if she was a skinnier kid like her older brother. I LOVED the seat for her as an infant - it was super easy to install and didn't budge - even with the bulkiness of it. But, now, unfortunately, I'm going to have to sell it and put her her older brother's Cosco/Eddie Bauer seats! Also, the seat cover and straps have been washed numerous times and still look brand new. But, it is quite tricky to clean the "undercarriage" nooks and crannies. ~M. Tilse

I researched many, many car seats trying to find one that was both extremely safe & comfortable for my daughter. We settled on the Britax Marathon. Then the unthinkable happened and my family and I were in a tragic hit and run auto accident on the interstate. The vehicle we were in was a mid-sized SUV and we were hit with such force that we were thrown off the road uncontrollably & ended up flipping several times down a very steep hill. While I suffered a compression fracture in my lower back and my husband a torn shoulder, our 2 1/2 yr. was completely UNHARMED. Aside from the obvious shock of the accident she was completely kept safe and untouched. We were extremely thankful that this car seat held up under the worst of circumstances. Immediately after the accident we went out and bought her another Britax Marathon to replace the one that had been in the accident (we're taking no chances). I highly recommend this to anyone who is on the fence about this wonderful car seat. It's money well spent. I would rate it 10 stars if I could. It truly is a life saver!

I researched so many car seats before finally buying this one. My daughter hates sitting in the car seat, but when she does, I know I want her to be as safe as she can possibly be, and the Britax makes that possible. It's a nice seat, somewhat big in my tiny little Nissan Sentra, at first I wasn't sure if it would fit, but it does. Sometimes one of the straps kind of gets twisted, and it's a pain to fix, but that doesn't happen often. And when I go to buckle my daughter in, I have to put the right buckle in first, and then the left, otherwise it doesn't buckle in completely, and will come open.

This is a great seat. My little guy grew out of his infant seat after only 5 1/2 months length wise. We went with this one, even though it is more money than the others, it also holds children till they are both heavier and longer than the other seats. Very much worth the extra money you spend on it. You can never put a price on your childs safety. Britax is also very good at keeping in touch with you on product updates.

We love this car seat, in fact, its our second marathon carseat. The wife loves the cow pattern, our other is a standard gray color. Our child outgrew her infant car seat so we moved to the convertible, she is much more comfortable in it and we will be able to use it for the next couple of years, unless she grows too fast. Easy to install if you have the latch system, installs in minutes. It is rather large, but it fits into a smallish A4 backseat, granted the front seat is almost as far up as it can be. No regrets with this purchase.

Well after doing much research, and listening to the ladies on my messageboard talk great about this seat...I decided to give this a try. Before i bought this product, I went to BRU and actually tried the demonstration models out in our vehicle to see if they fit properly. I recommend doing this with any seat. We had to raise the headrest in our Windstar to get this seat to fit forward facing, but my son is rearfacing, and he will be rearfacing until he reaches the max wieght for his safety. OMG--this seat is sooo soo comfortable. I love the adjuster on it, and the neck cushions. Obviously the Cow-Mooflage pattern is FUN and everyone gets a kick out of it:) I cant say enough about this. My son is a petite lil guy(he's 15months now) and I'm assuming this seat will be used until the expiration date.(6years). I cant say enough about buying it through amazon. Great service, I got it cheaper w/coupon code and free shipping, no tax, and It came with 5 days of ordering.. Wow thats fast. I highly recommend this seat, and recommend buying from amazon. Oh, it is easy to install, but I highly recommend taking to your local certified car seat inspector for installation.
