I purchased this monitor because I was sleeping in my son's room with him and I was really worried about SIDS! It works GREAT I am sleepinb in my room we are both sleeping better at night. We have never had a false alarm, except when I forget to turn it off when I take him out of the crib. We have the davinci crib and my husband placed a quarter inch piece of wood under the mattress. The sensors need a flat level place to sit on, it is really worth the money and works perfect. Highly recommend this product to parents!!!

My sister in law mentioned this product to my husband and I. Her sister in law received one at her baby shower, and it seemed like it would be a good item to have for our new baby, that had had some issues in the hospital. We ordered this item on line and it was shipped to us. My husband put it in the bassinet under the baby's mattress adn when we went to see how it worked while the baby was asleep, it didnt' work at all! We are thinking maybe it won't work until the baby is bigger. Our first impression was 'this thing doesn't even work'. I told my husband we should return it. We are waiting to see if it will do it's job soon. I am very disappointed, and really wish I had come on here and read the reviews before we got this. The only positive thing is we didn't pay for it, it was a gift.

This product is great & I would highly recommend it! My daughter was 6 weeks premature & so I thought I would get this product to monitor her once she came after 3 weeks in the hospital. I have never had a false alarm with it & everytime I take her out of her crib without turning the monitor off, it sounds the alarm within 20 seconds because it does not detect her anymore. At night if she sleeps a long time & I wake up in a panic wondering if she is okay, I remember I have the device turned on. I had a friend who almost lost her baby to silent reflux so I wanted to put my mind more at ease knowing that if my baby stopped breathing, I would be alarmed so I would have a chance at CPR. This is money well spent! I use mine in my pack and play. I just put down a plywood board underneath it and it works flawlessly. I also really like that it runs on batteries so I don't have to worry so much about the electromagnetic frequiencies (EMF).
