I am very happy with this carseat. I purchased this seat first for my husbands car as he has back problems and was having problems lefting the infant car seat that we had. We made the switch when my son was about 3 months old and I love it. We call the carseat the "space ship" as the turning feature is so cool that it is out of this world, also because the thing is a mammoth in size. i would guess that only an SUV would fit this car seat appropriately. As others have mentioned the seat sits very high making for a great view for your baby. The material is very good quality and is very padded for comfort. My baby is still young so I havent had to clean any messes out of it yet but it feels like the material will do good when cleaned. The weight restrictions doesnt seem like it will be a problem for my baby but I am a little concern about where his feet are going to go as he is very long and is only 6 months and touches the back seat, but this seems like an inevitable problem. I luv this seat so much that now that its time to get a bigger carseat for my car I deceided to buy this same one. I was trying to deceide between the Orbit baby carseat which also turns but the price didn't seem worth it since you can only turn the baby when its in rearfacing and no longer when in forward facing. I recommend this seat to anyone who has a large car/SUV.

My baby needs to face rear, but has outgrown her infant seat. The rear seat in the Honda Element sits back from the door opening which would make a normal rear facing seat very difficult to put her in. I would have to climb in from the other side and do it from inside the vehicle. With 2 kids, that wouldn't work. The Combi is perfect for the Honda Element. I turn the seat forward to put her in. tighten the straps, and turn her to face the rear. She loves it and can either see out the window, or easily fall asleep. The seat seems well built with nice materials. The extra padding is nice. I have posted 2 photos of the seat in the Element. But, the release to loosen the harness is hard to get to, and the harness does not loosen by much. I do like that there are loops to hold the straps while you put the baby in. Magnets would work, too.

I bought this seat for my newborn. We knew we didn't want an infant car seat and I really liked the turning feature. I thought I'd want that to put him in and out of the car. I actually rarely use that in my current car because he sits in the middle and I sit next to him and it is just as easy to leave it facing backwards. I, do, however really like to turn it around when we are parked and waiting in the car. He can interact with me, yet stay in the seat. The car seat is extremely tall, others complained because they can't see the baby, I'm not sure you can see the baby in any rear facing car seat so that doesn't bother me. I don't like that in a mid size SUV without rear air, the A/C has a hard time getting to him, but again I'm not sure any rear facing car seat wouldn't have the same problem. The bonus of the large size (which is not taking it on an airplane, I'm not looking forward to that) is that it sits so high that my 3 month old could see out the back window over the tall SUV seats. It makes for a much more interesting ride as he gets bored and cranky if he isn't experiencing new things. I would definitely recommend this seat to someone who doesn't want the infant style. I think the large size will be nice for an older child as well so they can see all that is going on. The entire thing is very comfortable and my baby has never cried when being put into it at almost 4 months. Although it is doable, there is a little more to strapping this into the car which makes switching cars a little overwhelming.
