I bought this from Amazon and when the item arrived, we realized that it is simply cheap particle board. There are no directions, just a hard to understand diagram that tells you nothing. We might as well have built you own toy box as to try to put this thing together. The hardware that it came with was cheap and the screws kept breaking and stripping. I called guidecraft directly and they offered me a refund or another product since the original had broken screws in it. When I got the second shipment I was finally able to get it together very carefully and after I went and bought my own hardware. The pre-drilled holes were also in the wrong spots so we had to pre-drill the holes ourselves. We could have built and decorated our own for the time it took us to get this together, and it probably would have been cheaper. Yes it is beautiful once you get it together (Which is why we stuck with it) but it is not worth the hassle and I am sure there is much better product out there for this price.

This toy box is really cute, good quality, and is a great size. However, it is not the light pink color that shows in the picture. It is a much darker pink. I probably wouldn't mind except that I had bought the matching step stool a few months earlier, and it is light pink. When I called Guidecraft about the mismatch, they said they had changed the color of the whole line of "butterfly" furniture to the darker pink and did not have the light pink in stock anymore (they just haven't updated the picture). They offered a refund if I wanted to return it or a 50% refund back to my credit card if I wanted to keep it. I decided to keep it, and even though I did not buy it directly from Guidecraft, they worked with the seller and quickly processed the refund, so it turned out to be a great deal--even though it still bothers me that the color doesn't match between the step stool and toy box.
