The Kidco PeaPod travel bed is wonderful. It is the best choice that I have found so far. We needed something that packs small, is not too heavy and could work when camping... this travel bed has it all! It is a wonderful alternative to a pack'n play. My 6 months old has used it several times indoors and outdoors and loves it. He is free to move around before falling asleep and is safe. I like the pocket for the air mattress, it is a lot safer than having the mattress directly inside the peapod. The sleeping bag is a nice addition but we will not use it for a while. The peapod unfolds automatically and is very easy to fold back. I can not think of anything I do not like in this product.

I bought the peapod plus last December while traveling during the holidays to see relatives out of state for our [then] 9 month old baby. It turned out to be worth it's weight in gold! We still use it for visiting relatives, but we also use it so we can go to dinner at friends' houses [and not have to leave once he starts rubbing his eyes.] It's a nice, shady, little portable tent! People always comment what a smart product it is. I find it to be easy to fold, extremely lightweight, and fits perfectly in the bottom of a suitcase. We don't use it with the mattress cover/sleeping bag. We just put our son's velour crib sheet over it, which makes it feel more like home. I highly recommend this to anyone! It's so much lighter and easier to use than a pack and play, so you can take your child anywhere! I think that it would make a wonderful baby shower gift.

we used the peapod for camping with our 10 month old. as suggested here, we had her napping in it for the week before using it. i am excited to take it when we travel -- so much easier than a pack-n-play ! good to know that the bigger/ more expensive version will last til they are older, whereas the smaller ones are only good until 1 year old or so.
