A stunning addition to your kid's bedroom

It is always exciting and a lot of fun to decorate your kid’s room using a variety of ideas. It can be designed in a contemporary or classic style using a gamut of colors to get exactly the look that you want. Besides kid’s bed and accessories, dresser is an integral facet in a kid’s bedroom. It not only encourages your child to tidy up but also provides a good storage for everything in the bedroom.
Decoupaging the front of your dresser drawers is an easy, inexpensive and a good idea to decorate the room. You could use a fun theme and the best part is that you don’t even have to be an artist for this. You will be using different cut outs and papers by gluing, and therefore you can even have each drawer with a different fairytale!
If you want to go contemporary, have cool kind of room on the block. Adopt for a sophisticated theme with whimsical touches into the space. For example a Zen or spa like flavor into the room would be quite appropriate. The selection of furniture for this kind of room should either be very dark or very light wood. Natural wood dressers, toy boxes or even benches with brighter accent pieces are sure to uplift the entire décor.
Another option would be to go for a whimsical theme. All you need to do is to paint different words on each dresser drawer. They could be your child’s name or words like “smart” or “dashing” etc. This will give a vibrant feel to the room on darker wood furniture. You may also choose to go with wall words so that you can change them when needed.
You could also try hand painted effect. This is a lot of fun as it lends a nice appeal to the room. For example, work with a glamorous stencil over the drawers and leave the natural wood underneath. This gives you the flexibility of having a variety, at the same time pulls up together all the furniture pieces to tie up even the mismatched pieces.
Kid’s bedroom is an eclectic mix of furniture items. This is also a place where you can let all your creativity show off. If possible, let your kid participate with you and have fun in designing your kid’s room.
