I ordered this bed for my 22 month old son. After receiving it my son and I put it together as a team. To my surprise it was not the bed I ordered. Trying to get a hold of customer service is almost as fustrating as receiving the wrong bed. It has now been 6 days and I have yet to receive a call back reguarding this situation. I highly recommend that you purchase a high priced item in person and trhough a company that returns calls. I will NEVER shop through amazon again.

We chose to transition my son from the bassinet to our bed to his own bed (somehow he skipped over his crib) and although everone had us convinced that putting him in his own bed would be a nightmare he loves his car bed so much that he doesnt want to sleep in our room. He thinks his car bed is so cool that we havent had one peep out of him at night since he started sleeping in it over 4 months ago. (at 21 months old) We chose this bed instead of one that fits a crib mattress because my son is very tall for his age and he wouldnt have fit in the small bed for long (Plus where would Mommy and Daddy lay when we read him his bedtime storires?) This bed is great. Very durable, the bookshelf comes in handy for my son to keep cars, books, and put buzz, woody, and elmo to sleep in. The toychest part in the front is the only thing I dont like. It comes completly of the hinges and my son had to learn the hard way not to pull it off (it dropped on his feet). I do love that all of the edges of the bed are rounded because he has jumped and bopped himself on it a few times and didnt really get hurt because of that. Over all worth the money.

This bed was "handed down" to us when my son was 6 months old, and sat in the garage for a while. When my son was about 18 months old, we got tired of storing it, so my husband set it up AROUND the crib--it fit nicely (but allowed our son to climb in without being able to climb out). When he was ready to move into the "big boy bed", we skipped the box springs and layed the mattress right on the ground, since he rolls so much in the middle of the night--creating a "crib-like" effect. Note: this bed is much longer than a standard crib, due to the headboard and foot piece, and only fits in the bedroom at 1 angle.
