Well, I purchased this car seat a month ago and am now trying to figure out if I should return it. Like many parents of tall children, I want a booster seat that will allow my 4 1/2 year old to stay in the 5pt harness until she is a few years older. The Britax Marathon is too big for my car and the Nautilus limits the 5 pt harness use to 52 inches. We like the Apex well enough, but the strap for the bottom, middle connection on the harness is very short. I had read in other posts that you can call them and have a longer one sent. This seemed like a perfect solution until I was told that they are now shipping the product with the longer strap. I can't imagine what it looked like before... Clearly they want the support positioned next to the pelvic area, but I think my daughter might find it sits uncomfortably low in another 6 months. Other than that the seat is fine. The cushioning is good and it is not obnoxiously big. One big benefit is that it reclines. Most belt positioning boosters that didn't start out with the 5pt option do not recline at all. This makes sleeping in them almost impossible as your child's head eventually flops forward.

My wife and I purchased this carseat because it was affordable and tall enough to keep our daughter in it for a long time. It is comfortable and she sleeps in it great but we did have to make a little neck pillow for her. Overall it is a great product with just a few problems when it comes to installing it really tight.

I bought this from Albee Baby for $89.99 - so awesome price adn only $5 shipping. But this thing is way too wide. I have a Suburban and wanted to put this in the 3rd row so my <65# toddler could sit in the middle. (There is no shoulder belt and I have 6 kids.) It is 20" wide at its widest point. My other kids are very cramped next to it and a small booster seat doesn't even fit next to it. Unfortunately Albee Baby has a horrible return policy - $25 restocking fee plus I will pay at least $10 to ship it. That is nearly half the original cost. Hopefully I can dump it on Ebay - otherwise I will donate to a crisis pregnancy center. If you need a car seat that isn't so wide, DO NOT purchase this one. I don't recommend Albee Baby either.
