I used a moses basket for my first child for her first 5 months, and was very pleased with the safety, portability, and ease of use. We only reluctantly traded it in for a crib when she outgrew it. For my second, I had to shop online, and tried my best to find one that looked similar to the first (which was a hand-me-down, brand unknown). This basket, unfortunately, is a horror. It's ugly, too narrow, and most alarmingly, has a pad that curls up the sides, which presents a SIDS hazard. I don't normally write product reviews, but as a physician, I feel a need to warn people away from this product. Any bedding for a newborn needs to fit SNUGLY, without bulges. Buyer beware.

My daughter is almost five months old and has slept every day in this basket. It travels so easily (no dragging a huge pack and play!) and I credit this basket for her wonderful sleep habits. She is snug and comfy.
